Preparing Your Home For Sale Checklist Before your home hits the market, here's a list of things you can do to help it show better, sell faster, and sell for top dollar.  Most of these require more sweat than cash.  We will be happy to walk through your home with you and make suggestions.THE EXTERIOR1.  The Yard: ___  Cut and edge the lawn ___  Trim bushes and trees and remove all dead limbs and debris ___  Remove weeds ___  Clean up rock and rake as needed to make sure the rock covers the ground it's meant to cover. 2.  Patios/Driveways/Fences: ___  Wash the driveway and all sidewalks and patio areas. ___  Clean any stains ___  Make sure fence is in good repair.  Paint/Stain/Repair as needed. ___  Spruce up the outdoor living areas with furniture and plants. ___  Make sure all lawn equipment and toys are stored out of sight. 3.  The House: ___  Clean, paint and/or repair as needed any siding or stucco ___  Replace broken windows, doors and screens and make sure they all operate correctly. ___  Clean windows and screens thoroughly, inside and out.
